Overview
Ophthalmology is a medical and surgical specialty dedicated to diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the eye. Optometry focuses on a patient’s vision, providing correction as needed and detecting eye abnormalities. Our Eye Care team includes experts in both specialties, enabling us to provide comprehensive medical and surgical ophthalmology and optometry services for people of all ages. For patients who require cataract surgery, outpatient surgery is performed at the Saratoga Surgery Center. Minor surgical procedures and laser surgery for medical conditions are performed in our office suite. Our professional Eye Care team works with our patients to promote healthy eye care and safety at every stage of life.
Saratoga Hospital Medical Group – Eye Care offers our patients an outstanding team of board-certified ophthalmologists and a medical optometrist, employing the most up-to-date equipment and advanced diagnostic techniques working within the full spectrum of ophthalmic care. There are several types of glaucoma. The most common goal of glaucoma treatment is to lower pressure in your eye (intraocular pressure). Depending on your situation, your options may include eye drops and/or laser surgery. Our board-certified physicians are skilled surgeons with the latest technology to provide high-quality care.

We offer surgical services at two locations. Inpatient and outpatient surgery are performed at the Hospital. Outpatient surgery also is available at Saratoga Surgery Center, on our Wilton Campus. Whenever possible, we offer a minimally invasive approach, which means less discomfort and scarring as well as faster recovery times. For certain conditions, both minimally invasive and advanced robot-assisted surgery options are offered, enabling our surgeons to perform even the most complex and delicate procedures with extreme precision. We do everything we can to make you feel comfortable and well cared for.
