Occupational Medicine focuses on workplace health with a special emphasis on prevention. Working directly with employers and employees, our expert team provides health and safety solutions leading to safe workplace environments. Our trainings and consultations address a host of workplace issues, from flu to drug testing, smoking cessation to firefighter exams, physical capacity screenings to return-to-work evaluations. Many services, including exams and vaccinations, can be provided at your workplace. Employees can received care for injuries 24/7 at Saratoga Hospital’s Alfred Z. Solomon Emergency Center and Malta Med Emergent Care. Care also is available at Urgent Care - Adirondack and Urgent Care - Wilton seven days a week.

Our team offers occupational medical exams at your location or ours, including pre-placement exams, Department of Transportation (DOT)/CDL exams,19A-school bus driver exams, firefighter exams, OSHA surveillance exams (Asbestos, HAZWOPER, lead, others), respirator clearance exams, respirator fit testing, OSHA hearing testing, injury management for acute occupational injuries and exposures, and physical capacity screenings.
We offer several options for training at our location or yours, including Reasonable Suspicion Supervisor Training, Bleeding Control and American Heart Association Heartsaver, CPR, AED & First Aid.
Saratoga Hospital’s COVID-19 Business Safety Consultation Program helps area employers reopen and operate safely. During the free consultation—made possible with support from Adirondack Trust Company—we review your safety plans and help fine-tune practices on screening, masking, social distancing, contactless interactions, disinfectant use, and other measures that can help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. Participating businesses receive a custom-designed tool to help mark off the recommended 6 feet required for social distancing. We also provide a “COVID-19 Safety Plan” certificate that you can display to promote your commitment to safety. Additional coronavirus-related services include testing employees for the virus, helping with contact tracing, and determining when employees are well enough to return to work. We offer return-to-work evaluations for non-occupational injuries. Other ready-to-work services are offered in conjunction with our Regional Therapy Center at one of its locations.
Our team offers a variety of wellness services, including biometric screening, stress management, cardiovascular risk reduction, flu shots, and smoking cessation. We can customize educational topics to your particular workplace needs.
We provide drug and alcohol testing, including urine drug screens, hair drug screens, and breath and saliva alcohol testing.
We are a certified Yellow Fever Vaccination Center, and provide pre-travel consultations, vaccinations, and other travel-related medications and information.
